POATE 2027 Opens Registration for Its Landmark 16th Edition

The Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo returns to Munyonyo Commonwealth Resort in May 2027, with organisers expecting a record 5,000+ delegates from over 40 countries.
The Uganda Tourism Board has officially opened registration for the 16th edition of the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE 2027), set to take place from 20–23 May 2027 at the Munyonyo Commonwealth Resort on the shores of Lake Victoria.
This milestone edition arrives at a pivotal moment for African tourism, with the continent recording its strongest visitor numbers in over a decade. Organisers anticipate more than 5,000 delegates, 300 exhibitors, and participation from over 40 countries.
“POATE has grown from a regional showcase into the definitive gathering for African tourism,” said Lilly Ajarova, CEO of the Uganda Tourism Board. “This year, under the theme of transformation, we are bringing together the people and ideas that will define the next decade of travel on our continent.”
Early-bird delegate passes are available now through the official registration portal, with hosted buyer programmes and exhibitor packages selling quickly.
